Okay, so confession time: I started writing this because I was VERY upset about a love triangle in another book where the heroine had to choose, and I was like "BUT THEY'RE ALL PERFECT FOR HER???"
So naturally, I did what any reasonable person would do—I wrote an entire fantasy novel where she gets to keep all three. ✨
Lyra is basically my love letter to every girl who's ever been told she's "too much" or "not enough." She takes a little longer to understand magic theory (relatable), she cries when she's frustrated (also relatable), and she has THREE gorgeous men who think she hung the moon (okay, less relatable but we're manifesting here).
And yes, before you ask:
Finn is the golden retriever boyfriend who makes her laugh
Marcus is the quiet genius who sees her soul
Adrian is the reformed bad boy who would burn down the world for her
Luna (the dragon) is baby and must be protected at all costs
I may have written certain scenes while giggling and kicking my feet. I may have made myself cry during the sacrifice chapter. I definitely wrote the reunion scene at 3am while eating ice cream straight from the tub.
This story is my warm hug to anyone who's ever wanted to see the soft girl get ALL the love interests, save the world, and still have time for hot chocolate with her dad.
